Key Account Manager

Report to: Company Directors

Job Summary: The Key Account Manager is accountable for delivering a broad and deep relationship with our key accounts, ensuring that a longer term strategic relationship is maintained. The role requires a strongly motivated person that can meet customers’ expectations and be able to take a hands-on approach to problem solving by using his/her initiative and available resources to provide customer proposals and solutions.


  • Play an integral role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new clients
  • Responsible for the development and achievement of sales through the direct sales channel
  • Focus on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business
  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions including operating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to customers including handling of complaints
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Communicate clearly the progress of quarterly/ annual initiatives to internal stake holders
  • Forecast and track key account metrics


Qualifications & Assets:

  • A university degree in Business administration or equivalent
  • Four years’ experience or more working in a similar role
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical abilities and able to multi-task
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills – outgoing, confident and able to engage positively with all types of customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent listening, negotiating and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Advanced Excel skills
