Product Owner


Report to: Company Directors

Job Summary:

As a Product Owner for our internal systems and public apps/website, you will report to the Head of Technology and work with an internal and outsourced team to enhance and deliver ongoing projects. The product owner will also be responsible for working with eCabs’ internal development team in the early stages of a new system. The role will be primarily responsible for defining, organising and prioritising requirements for the development team, and will need to work closely with the business, UX and internal/third party development teams to continuously optimise the systems. You will take ownership of these systems and any initiatives planned, and you will be responsible for managing projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collecting user requirements
  • Working with ourUX designers and business stake holders to define business requirements
  • Preparing user stories with detailed acceptance criteria for the development team
  • Working with the team to prioritise user stories according to business value
  • Planning and managing the delivery of the features / products you are tasked with, keeping all stakeholders up to date on progress
  • Verification of deliverables to ensure the acceptance criteria are met
  • Conducting release and resource planning

 

Qualifications & Assets:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Three years or more as a Product Owner, Project Manager and / or business analyst
  • Experience with JIRA or any other agile tool
  • Experience working with agile development teams
  • Comfortable and confident working with both the technical and commercial sides of an organisation
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into solvable and easily understandable parts
  • Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to logically measure risk against potential gain
  • Strong planning and leadership skills
